Three Breast Augmentation Options that can Impact Results
There are a number of options Orlando plastic surgeon Dr. Scott Greenberg will discuss with you prior to your breast augmentation procedure. Each of these options will play a role in the look and feel of your breast surgery, but not all will impact each woman in the same way. This is just one of the reasons it is so important to choose a board-certified and experienced breast surgeon.
With years of experience, our board-certified Orlando plastic surgeon is here to walk you through these decisions – and to help you choose those options best suited to produce the look of your dreams.
Breast Surgery Options
Three breast augmentation options that will play a direct role in results are:
Breast Implant Type – Dr. Greenberg offers both saline and silicone breast implants. Saline implants may allow for a smaller incision, but can look and feel unnatural in women with very little breast tissue. Silicone implants look and feel more like natural breast tissue, but may require a larger incision.
Breast Implant Incision – Dr. Greenberg can make incisions around the nipple, underneath the breast, in the armpit, or in the bellybutton. Each of these offers unique benefits and limitations.
Breast Implant Placement – Our Orlando plastic surgeon can place breast implants above or below the muscles in the chest. Submuscular (below the muscle) placement is often the best choice, but as with all breast augmentation options, this will be dependent on several factors unique to your body.
These options will dictate the final appearance of your breast surgery and can also impact surgical time, recovery, and longevity of results. During your initial visit to our Winter Park plastic surgery office, Dr. Greenberg will discuss all of these options with you and, based on factors including your desires and your natural anatomy, will help you choose those most suitable for your needs.
