BOARD-CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON SERVING ORLANDO, WINTER PARK, UNION PARK, OVIEDO, AND NEARBY CENTRAL FLORIDA

At the initial consultation, your goals and expectations about the procedure will be discussed in detail. An individual decision about the most appropriate technique(s) or material to be used will be selected and the advantages and disadvantages of each technique will be discussed.

Fat Injection

This is your own fat that may be harvested for re-injection. The advantages are no chance of allergic reaction and the possibility that some may remain for good; the disadvantages of this material are the need for harvesting, no proven increased longevity over other injectables and the possibility that if some remains, it may fluctuate as your weight does. No FDA approval is required.

“During the process, I was always comfortable that I could call with questions and never have to worry. The staff is knowledgeable and caring—never rushed. They are all a gift. I will never hesitate if I decide to have something else done.”*

“From the initial call with your receptionist (who is a definite asset), to meeting with Dr. Greenberg and all of the other staff, I felt so well cared for by professional, accredited and caring people!”*

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

These products are the most popular of the current dermal fillers:

They are safe and natural non-animal based hyaluronic acid products (normal components of human skin) that are synthetically produced. Most of these products now come pre-mixed with the local anesthetic lidocaine, making the injections much more comfortable.

They have been used outside the United States exclusively and were recently FDA-approved for use in the United States. Each of these products is slightly different in their chemical makeup and, as a result, they have different indications and uses. A consultation with Dr. Greenberg will determine which of these products is best for you.

Radiesse

Radiesse is synthetically produced particulate calcium hydroxylapatite in a gel delivery system. It not only acts as a filler but stimulates the production of new collagen further enhancing results.

Radiesse usually lasts 9-12 months after injection and is FDA approved for use for treating facial wrinkles and folds including nasolabial folds. We have had excellent results in these areas and as a revolumizer in the cheeks as a non-surgical cheek lift. No skin test is required.

Sculptra

Sculptra is a synthetic injectable material known as poly-L-lactic acid that has been used for years in the body in other forms (suture material) and is very well tolerated by the body. This substance is injected below the skin and is used as a volume enhancer and collagen stimulator that actually thickens skin. Longevity is approximately 18-24 months. No skin test is required. Multiple treatment sessions are required to see the best results. It is FDA-approved for this purpose.
