To ensure that your rhinoplasty procedure aligns with your desired results and goals, Dr. Scott A. The procedure itself is performed in our in-office accredited surgical facility and will typically take between 1-3 hours. Whether a closed or open approach is taken will depend on your specific goals for the surgery.
Rhinoplasty Recovery
Once the surgery is complete, you can expect a splint and bandages to be placed around the nose to help promote optimal healing.
Although every person’s rhinoplasty recovery process is unique, swelling and bruising on the nose and around the eyes will typically subside within 2-3 weeks following the surgery. After one week, the bandages and splint will be removed by your plastic surgeon.
To ensure that you’re following the correct practices, your plastic surgeon will also give you specific instructions. These will include how long it will be until you can resume normal activities when it is recommended for you to return to work, which medications you can take and when you should book a follow-up appointment.
