Admit it: You’ve probably tried everything to treat your baggy eyes.

Maybe you feel like you’ve used every cream or serum available on the market today. Or maybe you’ve even tried “miracle” solutions, only to be disappointed when they don’t deliver on their promises. Whatever the case may be, you’ve found yourself asking this question over and over again:

“Will surgery help my baggy eyes?”

Why Surgery Can Help Baggy Eyes

When it comes to sagging eyelids or heavy undereye bags, surgery is often the only solution for solving these issues. That’s because the problem isn’t surface-level; it can be found beneath the dermis, where weakening muscles, undereye fat, and loss of collagen collide to create undereye bags and drooping eyelids. In order to solve those problems, you’ll need surgery to remove the fat and correct sagging skin, thus opening your eyes back up and helping you look more alert and well-rested.

The eyelid lift (also known as the blepharoplasty) is the surgical procedure that can help address each of these issues; an upper eyelid lift can correct sagging eyelids, while the lower eyelid lift can remove fatty tissue and heavy undereye bags.

Such a Gentleman! And an awesome Doctor too !!!

What to Expect From Your Eyelid Lift

The eyelid lift is performed under general anesthesia in outpatient surgery. During this procedure, your plastic surgeon will make small incisions along the upper or lower lash line, depending on the area you’re targeting. These incisions allow your surgeon to remove excess fat, as well as remove sagging skin that may be contributing to hooded eyelids. Finally, the incisions are closed up, leaving behind a smoother and more contoured appearance.

You should expect to take about a week off from work after your eyelid lift; makeup can be used to cover any bruises and swelling at this time. You should expect to see final results from your eyelid lift about two to three months after the procedure.

Great surgeon and staff. We are fortunate to have a first class surgeon in our central Florida area. Highly recommend him.
