Do you want to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, or enhance your features? The Juvederm® family of fillers adds natural-looking volume and definition. These injectables are used to address a range of facial concerns for individuals of any age looking for a volume boost. Dermal fillers are among the most popular injectable treatments for men and women.

What are Juvederm® Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that enhance facial volume. Juvederm® is a group of fillers used to address concerns such as wrinkles and volume loss. The Juvederm® family contains members that define the cheeks and chin, plump the lips, and smooth wrinkles and creases. Your Winter Park Plastic Surgery team offers several groups of fillers so they can choose the best ones for your needs.

Is There Any Downtime After Juvederm® Fillers?

When people consider aesthetic treatments such as injectables, they usually wonder how much downtime they can expect. The best treatment for you is one that fits into your busy schedule. Juvederm® injections can take as little as fifteen minutes. There is no downtime, and you can return to work immediately

You may notice minor swelling or redness in the injection area. Some people also notice spots of minor bruising. These effects will fade within a few days. Juvederm® fillers use hyaluronic acid, a compound found naturally in your skin. As a result, negative reactions to these dermal fillers are extremely rare.

How Long Do Juvederm® Results Last?

Each Juvederm® filler has a different lifespan. In general, fillers made for areas like the cheeks last longer than lip fillers. Fillers for the cheek area or deep wrinkles have a firmer, thicker formula, while lip fillers have a softer, more flexible texture. Lip fillers usually last about one year because the lips move much more than other areas of the face. Most other Juvederm® fillers last up to two years under good conditions

Do I Need Botox® or Juvederm®?

If you have heard of injectables like Juvederm®, you may also have heard of Botox®. This anti-aging treatment addresses lines and wrinkles, but not the same ones as Juvederm®. Botox® excels at treating expression lines such as crow’s feet and lines between the brows. Juvederm® works for lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

Am I a Good Candidate for Juvederm®?

Almost anyone may be a good candidate for Juvederm®. Candidates should have reasonable expectations about what dermal fillers can accomplish. We recommend dermal fillers for those who want to address volume loss, thin lips, or lines and wrinkles without surgery or downtime. You should not have dermal filler injections if you have an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area.
