We recommend an overnight stay for most people after abdominoplasty. This allows us to monitor you and prevent complications. We will provide medication for the first few days, after which you should start feeling more comfortable. You will need to wear a compression garment for the following three weeks. Most people with low-activity jobs can return after two weeks. You can usually resume most normal activities in four to six weeks.
What Results Will I See With Abdominoplasty?
You will have some swelling after your procedure that lasts for several weeks. Your compression garment helps control this effect. You will start to see your real results after a few weeks. However, full results can take several months to develop.
