Botox, Dysport & Xeomin

Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon Serving Orlando, Winter Park, Union Park, Oviedo, and Nearby Central Florida

BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport and Xeomin are FDA-approved bacteria produced proteins purified for medical use that block nerve impulse transmission to muscles preventing them from contracting. They are used to treat hyperfunctioning, hyper-dynamic frown lines, allowing the overlying skin to be smoothed with an improved cosmetic appearance. As a group, these products are called neuromodulators.

Typically, forehead, vertical lines between the eyebrows and crow's feet lines can be treated with BOTOX and other injectables. Brows can be shaped and lifted, neck bands and lines can be softened and other hyperfunctioning facial muscles can also be treated. Excessive axillary (armpit) or palm sweating can be treated with these injections as well.

How Long Does Botox Last?

Results of facial muscle treatment lasts for about 3 months, while results from the injections for excessive sweating can last 6-12 months. Injections need to be repeated to maintain the results.

These treatments are done in the office. No anesthesia is required for treatment with BOTOX, Dysport or Xeomin.

"During the process I was always comfortable and felt that I could call with questions and never have to worry. The staff is knowledgeable and caring – never rushed. I will not hesitate if I decide to have something else done."

"The results are amazing!! I enjoyed every aspect of this experience from beginning to end. I look forward to future treatments and self-improvements. Thank you for everything."

The FDA has approved Botox, Dysport and Xeomin for treatment of frown lines between the eyebrows. Botox® has also been approved for treatment of crow's feet frown lines. Other uses, while appropriate, are considered "off-label" by the FDA. There are subtle differences between these products.
