Skin issues like hyperpigmentation and acne can affect individuals at any age, and they are often challenging to treat. Your Winter Park Plastic Surgery & Laser Center team may recommend a VI peel if you have concerns about dark spots, melasma, or acne blemishes. As one of our most popular treatments, the VI peel restores your skin’s clarity and tone with targeted ingredients.

What is the VI Peel?

The VI peel is a form of chemical peel, which means its base ingredients are acids, including trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, and phenol. These acids work by separating the bonds between your dead and damaged outer layers of skin, allowing fresh skin cells to surface. It also contains skin-improving ingredients like tretinoin and vitamin C, which are known to brighten skin and clear acne.

Why the VI Peel is Perfect for Acne and Hyperpigmentation

The VI peel comes in five variations that allow us to choose the one best for your skin concerns. While the classic VI peel provides many benefits, other versions target specific issues such as hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma, and acne.

VI Peel

The original VI peel removes damaged layers of skin to reveal a fresh, rejuvenated surface. You will see improvements in signs of aging, pigmentation and textural issues, and overall glow.

VI Peel Precision

The VI Peel Precision is a more potent version of the original. It can provide more intensive results in less time but may have more downtime than a less intense peel.

Acne and Hyperpigmentation Consultations Available

VI Peel Purify

The VI Peel Purify targets acne and related issues by eliminating acne-causing bacteria and reducing inflammation. As a result, breakouts happen less often and cause less redness, reducing the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

VI Peel Precision Plus

The VI Peel Precision Plus starts with the powerful effects of the Precision version, It adds additional ingredients to reduce the overproduction of melanin and reduce dark pigmentation like melasma and sun damage.

VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus

This version of the VI peel is a go-to solution for significant textural and pigmentation issues, including severe acne, hyperpigmentation or scarring. It combines our most intensive VI peel with our acne-fighting one for maximum benefits.

What Results Will I See With a VI Peel?

Your skin may look red for up to a day or two after your VI peel, and your skin may peel for a few days. We can recommend products to smooth and soften your skin during this process. You will see brighter, more even-toned skin appear as the old layers flake away. While you may see excellent results with a single session, many people benefit from a few VI peel sessions followed by occasional maintenance treatments, especially for acne.

Shana is incredibly knowledgeable about skincare. I’ve struggled with acne for years, but she helped me get it under control and significantly improved the overall texture of my skin. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
