MicroNeedling is an underutilized but exciting new technique that is now available to treat signs of aging in the skin, reducing the look of wrinkled or sagging skin of the face and décolletage as well as acne scars.  Also called Collagen Induction Therapy, MicroNeedling has recently been introduced in the United States and is gaining popularity.

At the office of Orlando plastic surgeon, Dr. Scott Greenberg, MicroNeedling has become a popular procedure that is done with little downtime and excellent results.  We accomplish this by using a roller with very fine needles to penetrate the first layer of skin, creating micro channels in the second layer of skin, or dermis.  This stimulates the development of collagen, creating newer, thicker and tighter skin and improving the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin and acne scars.  The needles are so fine that they cause very little pain or injury to the outer skin or epidermis, which quickly returns to normal.

MicroNeedling can be used on the face, neck, hands, back, arms, legs and even the abdomen for stretch marks.  Two to three affordable treatments are usually required for optimum results.
