How Long Do Acne Laser Treatment Results Last?

If you suffer from acne breakouts, it may feel as though you can’t leave the house unless you’re wearing concealer to hide your zits. Acne can be a serious drain on your self-confidence, as it’s often seen as a skin condition that only affects teenagers. But you’re not – you’re an adult who can lead in the boardroom, raise a family, and take the world by storm.

That’s why, if you still suffer from adult acne, it’s time to check out adult acne laser treatments – one of the few procedures that deliver long-term results.

What is an Acne Laser Treatment?

At Winter Park Plastic Surgery & Laser Center, we use blue light laser treatments. This innovative laser technology targets and kills acne-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin, which helps to decrease recurring breakouts. With regular blue light treatments, most clients will see a significant reduction in their acne breakouts; in fact, it usually only takes about 4 to 6 sessions to see noticeable clearance.

You’re a good candidate for this procedure if you have consistent acne breakouts and aren’t seeing good results from over-the-counter anti-acne products.

How Long Do Acne Laser Treatment Results Last?

Acne laser treatment results can be long-lasting. However, it’s important to follow a good skincare regimen, eat healthily, and work with a dermatologist to ensure your adult acne isn’t caused by another skin condition. The goal of acne laser treatments is to help clear out current breakouts, but it can’t prevent future breakouts from happening.
