At the initial abdominoplasty consultation, your goals and expectations about the tummy tuck surgery will be discussed in detail. Your general health, skin tone and degree of abdominal deformity will be assessed and the possible treatment options will be discussed. You may be a candidate for a mini-abdominoplasty (below the navel) or a complete abdominoplasty possibly in conjunction with liposuction. It is important that the appropriate option be selected that is right for you to come closest to producing the desired body contour.

The procedure is done in our accredited in-office surgery facility under general anesthesia. An overnight stay is recommended for your comfort, safety and convalescence.

After Your Abdominoplasty Tummy Tuck Surgery
Specific recommendations to increase your comfort during the initial recovery period will be given. The amount of swelling and discomfort is variable but is usually well controlled with oral medication. A compression garment is worn for 3 weeks after surgery depending upon the rate of recovery. Return to work or normal daily activities is expected after two weeks and strenuous activities (including exercise) is restricted for 4-6 weeks.
