Breast Augmentation Checklist - Are you ready for Breast Augmentation?

Breast Augmentation Consultation
Breast surgeon, Dr. Greenberg will discuss your goals and your suitability for breast augmentation surgery with you in detail including the location of the implant (sub-mammary, above the chest muscle and subpectoral, below the chest muscle), different incisions and types of implants available. Size will also be discussed and a variety of informational materials will be given to you.

Breast Augmentation Procedure
Breast augmentation is performed in our accredited in-office surgical facility under general anesthesia as an outpatient. The operation takes approximately 1 -1 1/2 hours. You will stay in our recovery area until you are able to go home. Someone should accompany you to the office and remain with you for the first 24 hours after breast augmentation surgery.

After Your Breast Augmentation Surgery
Activity is limited for the first few days immediately following breast augmentation surgery but routine, non-strenuous activities may be resumed during this time depending upon comfort. You should be able to resume driving and return to work after one week. Discomfort after a breast augmentation is usually minimal and controlled with oral medication.
